I am a 45 years young African-American, straight male.  I came into the world in June of 1964 on the 28th day.  Standing at 5'11" tall, weighing in at 195 lbs., dark brown complexion and in very good shape.  My favorite color is blue, my type of music is Oldies, Jazz, T & B, and some Soft-Rock.  I also like to read, self-help, religious books, non-fiction and fictional books.  I don't limit myself to what I read, because that allows barriers to go up and no growth for the individual.

     I've been incarcerated going on 21 years and within this time, I've made some major changes from who I was, to who I am today and who I want to be.  I like the fact that I've found the lesson within the madness that surrounds me daily.  I've made some very big mistakes in my life, I use to think that I wasn't worthy to share who I am with others.  I had to stop going through life in self-pity, self-blame, because I am not as bad as I think I am.

     So, since friendship can be made, created....then there is no reason why I should be sitting in this place like this.  So, to me a friendship starts with a out-stretched hand, a smile of warm devotion.  I don't care what color you are, because it doesn't matter!!! My family can truly be considered a melting pot.  My Mother sat a place at her table for everybody and that's how she raised all of her children, so don't allow yourself, or anything to hold you back from this hand that's reaching out to you in friendship.  I've learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant and kindness from the unkind.  I am reaching out to you.
